Hardware System Requirements
For HRPyramid
Hardware system requirements for a Windows NT 4.0 implementation of HRPyramid software depends largely on the size of the PEO and anticipated growth. The number of users is also a guideline, as users may have varying demands on the system, based on their function.
These recommendations are based on our experience and other similar industry recommendations.
Basic Configuration:
- Processor - 2 GHz
- Memory - 1 Gb
- Hard Drive - 60 Gb
- Tape Drive - 4mm DAT - for backups
- CD ROM - For software Installation
- Internet Access - For remote Administration*
- Backup Software - ArcServe (recommended) or Seagate Backup Exec
- Printers Supported - HP Printers
*F.W. Davison must have access to the server for any emergency or support administration. The preferred method of access is via a telnet connection over the internet. If security is a concern, then the Microsoft Virtual Private Network can be set up quickly and easily.
Expected Growth
From our experience, a growth rate of 1,000 employees per year will require an additional 500 Mb of hard drive space each year. Each additional UniData user will require a minimum of 5Mb of memory to sustain optimum performance.
