HRPyramid System Requirements

Minimum database server recommendations for HRPyramid

Hardware system requirements for a Windows implementation of HRPyramid software depends largely on the size of the PEO and anticipated growth. These recommendations are meant to be a starting point based on our experience and industry standards. They should be evaluated prior to purchasing any hardware and installation based on anticipated usage and load.

Hardware

Dedicated Database Server
Windows Server 2003
Memory - 2 Gb
Processor - 2 GHz
Data Hard Drive - 120 Gb RAID 10 or 0+,1 (RAID 5 NOT recommended)
Backup media and platform sufficient to store at least 3 months worth of data in rotation
High Speed Internet Access (for Customer Support)

Software

Backup Software compatible with Windows Snapshot Technology
Microsoft Terminal Server Service (administration mode)

Network

100 MB or greater LAN connection secured behind a firewall

Printers

HP Network Printers with PCL 5e driver

Remote Support

Windows: Remote Desktop access to web server is required
Secure Telnet connection over Internet

*F.W. Davison must have access to the server for any emergency or support administration. The easiest method is to utilize a Microsoft Virtual Private Network.

Expected Growth

From our experience, a growth rate of 1,000 employees per year will require an additional 500 Mb of hard drive space each year.
